I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan for four years, and he is easily one of the most dev-friendly designers I’ve known.

As a Web Development Team Leader, I’ve always appreciated how Jonathan approaches design. He has this rare ability to dive into complex problems and come up with solutions that aren’t just beautiful, but actually work within our technical constraints. He doesn’t just design beautiful interfaces; he builds logical systems that consider how they will be implemented in the code. A great example was our redesign of the search feature in Samples. It was a tricky project, but Jonathan took full ownership of it and came up with solutions that just made sense for everyone.

He is excellent at walking us through his logic and, more importantly, he’s always genuinely open to feedback.

Beyond his expertise and his incredible eye for detail, Jonathan is just a very easy-going, sympathetic person to have in a team. Watching him take on more leadership over the years has been a pleasure, and I’d vouch for him any day. Any product team would be lucky to have him!
